The FinanceVault Timeline is a customizable feature that allows clients to see all (or some) board stages related to their loan application. The timeline shows clients the documents they need to complete/submit, plus the upcoming stages that need to be completed for their application. To make the timeline more client-friendly, you can rename boards (e.g. Leads, Deals, Construction, etc.) stages and add conditions to hide stages that are not relevant to the client.

Video walkthrough
We updated the UI. In this video, the timeline feature is called Status Tracker.
Enabling the timeline feature
Go to the bottom left corner of the page, click the account icon, and select Settings. On the new page, click the FinanceVault link. On the next page, check the box next to Enable Timeline. This box enables the new client view of the FinanceVault page (for all your clients). Optionally, uncheck the box to return to the default client view.
Click the Preview link to see the client view of the FiannceVault timeline. If you're just starting out, the page is empty until you enable boards and stages. (see below)

Optional customizations
Use the checkboxes (see the above screenshot) to customize two labels and make them more client-friendly. The first field changes the default Timeline label. In the screenshot below, the label now reads Doc Requests.

The second field changes the default Documents label on the client view of the FinanceVault page. In the screenshot below, the label now reads Urgent Action Requests.

The third box, if checked, displays due dates on the timeline.

Setting up board and stages
The next step is to decide which boards and stages to display on the timeline.
Displaying a board
On the Settings page, expand the Workflow folder and select Boards and Stages. A new page displays. Click a board link (e.g. Deals). Click the FinanceVault Visibility field and select an option. In most cases, you'll want to select Aways shown for the Deals and Leads boards.

Only show if application moves into Board
This conditional option hides the board from the client until their application moves into this board. This is a smart choice for boards like Construction, which might not be relevant to residential home loan clients.
If you select this option, the form unhides the Hide all other boards field. Check this box to hide all other boards (e.g. Deal) when the client card is on this board.

Optional customizations
Go to the FinanceVault Description field and enter a client-friendly label.

This text appears on the timeline's Documents page as a divider that separates boards (e.g. it is visible between the Leads and Deal boards).

Displaying stages
Next, configure each board stage you want to display on the timeline and make sure the others are hidden (e.g. the Attempted Contact 1 stage on the Lead board).
Scroll down to the Stages heading and select a stage. Then, go to the FinanceVault heading and update settings.
Optionally, check the box to give the stage a new name, something more client-friendly.
Click the FinanceVault Visibility field and select an option. In most cases, you'll select Always shown.
Include a stage image. This is optional but recommended. Click Choose Image and select a picture from the library.
Add a video to the stage. (optional)

At the bottom of the page, upload a file to the timeline stage (optional) and enter descriptive text to explain to the client what this stage involves (recommended).

Reviewing the changes
Once you've completed the first stage, click Save. To review your work and see how it looks from the client's perspective, go to the side menu and click FinanceVault > Preview.

Go back to the board and repeat the steps for the other stages you want to display on the timeline. Then, repeat the steps to enable another board.
Disabling the timeline for a single client
If you want to disable the Timeline feature for a specific client, open and click the FinanceVault link.

On the FinanceVault page, go to the top menu bar and click the Manage Access button. In the popup, click the Loan Status: On button. It changes to OFF. Click the X icon to close the popup.
