Our Smart Docs feature gives you the ability to create custom documents with the added bonus of pulling data using merge fields from within the deal you are working on. Almost every field in BrokerEngine is has a merge field you can use to pull into your Smart Doc.
If you've been a part of the BrokerEngine family for awhile, you may better know this as our Proposals feature. We've simply changed the name to Smart Docs as the form builder can be used for more than just creating proposal docs.

Generate a Smart Doc
1. Open the lead or deal you would like to generate the Smart Doc on
2. Go to the left sidebar and expand the Strategy section.
3. Click Smart Docs.
4. Click Create. Your template list displays.

5. Click Use Template on your desired template. The Smart Doc generates and displays in an editor view.

6. Edit as needed. For example, you might want to insert a product scenario.
7. Click Save.

Editing a Smart Doc
To edit a proposal:

Open the lead or deal.

Go to Strategy > Smart Docs.

Click the name of the document. The document opens in the editor.
